Sophie Foley lives in Brooklyn, New York, and is interested in art and people and why things work the way they do, generally speaking. She is constantly amazed by the sheer amount of information one can gather from simply being out in the world, and hopes, through the Lab for Teen Thinkers, to feel less overwhelmed by the vast areas of knowledge that she hasn’t even touched upon yet in various studies; more specifically, to understand the patterns that have occurred in material culture over the ages and the relevance of physical objects in an increasingly digitized world. In her free time she likes to draw, listen to music, look at art in various places, and figure things out in her head. She can always be found with a pair of headphones on hand and a sweatshirt/pullover of some sort. An everday object that Sophie considers to be powerful in design is this wrist watch. She wears it everyday, as evidenced by her pretty defined tan.
