Cole is a rising senior at BHSEC Manhattan. They’re a musician, writer, and queer activist who spends their free time volunteering at Bluestockings and forcing their band to show up to things. Through the lab for Teen Thinkers, Cole hopes to connect with material culture in a more complex and critical way than simply as a consumer. As both a consumer and an active participant in said culture, they’re most drawn to fashion. They’re constantly experimenting with how clothes as a conduit of expressing and articulating identity. Their white converse go where ever they do. Basically, in the burning trash fire that is society they hope to burn in style. An everday object that Cole considers to be powerful in design is this sign that they helped made for the first annual Queer March. Their eyes are always drawn to it.
